PODCAST: Taking a deep breath before college admissions season
With so many highly-rated high schools across the Eastside, our communities, including Sammamish, are notorious for adding pressure on kids to get admitted to competitive colleges and majors. Before the admissions process formally gets underway, our podcast team finds out what is motivating local students when they make their college lists, why some of them are so focused on getting into top-ranked schools, and what can students do if their college application process did not work out as planned. Three of the four members of the podcast team are high school juniors, and will be entering the college admissions process this fall.
- Shashank Sreepathi, junior, Eastlake High School
- Kiersten Murphy, founder and president, Murphy College Consultants
- Daniel Song, Skyline High School class of 2019, transferred to University of Southern California after one year at Arizona State University
