Whose holiday lights will reign supreme?

It is that wonderful time of the year when residents install festive lights to help the Sammamish community get through the big dark.
The Sammamish Independent is once again hosting its Holiday Lights Competition (our first since 2021), and we are accepting submissions from across the community.
Indy editors and board members will judge the competition based on the number of lights and features, design and creativity of the display. We will award the winner a cash prize of $100 and a feature story.
If you would like to submit your light display, or your neighbor’s light display, for consideration, please email parvmehta@sammamishindependent.com with the following details:
- Up to three photos of your winter light display.
- Name of the person or family who put up the light display.
- Email or phone number of the person who put up the light display.
- Address where the lights are located, so the judges can drive by for a closer look.
The deadline for submission will be Tuesday, December 17 at 11:59 p.m.
