Sammamish warms up to Ace as spring arrives
With warmer spring weather driving more outdoor projects, the new Ace Hardware store in Sammamish has quickly become a local stop for supplies that support spring plans and home upgrades.
The store opened nearly six months ago on Nov. 22, 2025, marking the return of a local Ace Hardware more than a decade after the previous location closed in summer 2013. As the store enters its first spring season, early demand highlights both the impact of seasonal projects and the renewed availability of a local hardware option for Sammamish residents.
Anika Kesavan, 17, is one of many shoppers already using the store for spring projects. She wants to make her backyard more comfortable for spending time with friends, and appreciates having a nearby store, which makes it easier to complete quick projects.
“I’m just picking up a few things for outside like flowers, potting soil, and maybe some paint because my family wants to redo some stuff in our backyard,” Kesavan said.
Kesavan suggested that Ace could create more visual product displays to help customers find inspiration.
Kirsten Vienneau, 54, visited Ace to find a tool for her son’s woodworking project.
“I’m so happy to have [Ace] back,” Vienneau said.
Pampa Dutta, 46, came in for smaller home and yard updates, including plants and decor, as part of a spring refresh.
“Honestly I like it, it’s close and easy and I don’t have to deal with those huge busy stores, so it’s just better for quick trips to quickly get the job done,” Dutta said.
Ali Hasnain Bokhari, 48, said he is preparing for seasonal yard maintenance, including lawn care and home upkeep projects typical for spring in the Pacific Northwest.
“Honestly, it’s a lifesaver,” Bokhari said. “Having a spot right here on the plateau saves me 40 minutes of my life every time.”
Ace Hardware is located at 22650 SE 4th St, #200, Sammamish, WA, 98074.
